A temporary site-responsive installation in Gage Academy of Art's Steele Gallery. Using photographs I'd taken of the gallery I made a handful of painted sketches that would determine how I'd respond to the space. I then went to Goodwill and selected furniture like the ones in my sketches including a vintage chair and television stand, small ceramic animal figurines, and an old stripy curtain. I altered the found pieces at home and made a handful of sketches which were included in the installation. Once on site I incorporated some pedestals and alternated between referencing my sketches and improvising. The shadows were created by turning the lights off, shining a spot on the objects, and tracing.
